REST IN OIDAH

Last night I slept very little, a couple of hours, in the hotel in a terrible chaos. However, I wake up at seven, I go to fill up with petrol and then walk to the association for breakfast. We leave at half past nine for the festival, it is not far away but it is too hot and in ten minutes we arrive on the beach. After an endless series of speeches, the rituals began, dances and natives of the villages with colorful costumes and faces, dancing and singing, seem almost ecstatic. Towards one o’clock we return to the association, eat something together and then return to the hotel for a shower and some rest. Tomorrow all the friends of the association will return to Italy and I will leave for Kouvè in Togo, where the nuns are waiting for me. In the evening we have dinner together and say goodbye with the promise to meet again in Italy. This trip gave me another good experience, I met some nice people who use their holidays and their money to help these women and these children.
