VISIT TO THE PARK AND TO THE RIVER CHOBE

In the morning, wake up at five to visit Chobe Park. Despite being named as the African park with the highest presence of elephants, unfortunately we do not see even one. Only Impala, monkeys, buffaloes and some hippopotamus from afar. In late morning we return to the hotel disappointed, but confident in the afternoon tour. Around two-thirty they come to pick us up at the hotel and with a small motor boat we start sailing on the River Chobe. At first only birds, but then luckily, we begin to see hippos, crocodiles and eventually even elephants. The rangers manage to get very close to the animals and this allows us to take good pictures. In the end we return satisfied, the absence of the animals, the rangers explain, is due to the great rains of the last days that pushed the animals further south.
